How to download youtube video

How to download YouTube video to Android phone or Android tablet

YouTube video can quickly drain your data allowance. Here's how to download YouTube video to Android - how to watch YouTube videos offline.

If one of the things for which you enjoy using your Android phone or Android tablet is to watch YouTube, the need to be in range of a Wi-Fi hotspot can be a pain. And if you are using a mobile data connection, watching those old favourites time and again can quickly put you over your allowance. The solution is to download YouTube videos to your Android device for offline viewing. (Click here to see how to download YouTube to an iPad or iPhone, and how to download YouTube to a PC or laptop.)
We originally wrote this article a couple of years ago, and some readers are now complaining that the TubeMate app we detail here is no longer working for them. We checked it out on our Samsung Galaxy S6 and found that a new version of the app is available, which works just fine, so it may be that you simply need to download the new version (note that because this app is sideloaded you won't get app update notifications for it from Google Play).
Note that in publishing this tutorial we do not advocate the downloading of copyrighted videos, and in our examples are using only the videos on our own PC Advisor YouTube channel.
Also note that because our Samsung Galaxy S6 runs the TouchWiz UI, some of our screenshots will look a little different to your own experience, although the steps are the same on any Android phone or tablet.

Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet

Step 1. Several free apps are available that let you download YouTube videos to your Android phone or Android tablet. We like TubeMate, but unsurprisingly you won't find it at Google Play. Head to tubemate.net on your phone or tablet's browser and click to download version 2.2.9 from one of the list of verified sites. We chose the first option: Android Freeware. The link will take you directly to the download page; click on the large Install app button, then click OK when your device warns you that the file you are downloading can harm your device. (It won't harm your device, but you will get this notification any time you download an app installer file outside of Google Play.) See Android Advisor.
Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet
Step 2. By default, Android won't let you install software from sources other than Google Play. Tap Settings, Security (on our S6 it's in Lock screen and security), then enable the option to allow installation from Unknown sources. Tap Ok to the warning. Remember to reverse this setting following the installation of TubeMate.
Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet
Step 3. Now you're ready to install TubeMate. You should be able to access the downloaded .apk file from your drop-down notification bar; if you've already cleared the notification then you'll need to use a File Manager if you don't have a direct link to your Downloads folder. For peace of mind you might want to use a security app such as Lookout to scan the file before you install it, otherwise you can simply tap on the notification to begin the installation.
Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet
Step 4. TubeMate will prompt you to agree to certain permissions, click Install if you're happy with these. When the installation is complete tap Open. You must accept the Terms of Use: that you'll use TubeMate for private purposes only.
Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet
Step 5. When TubeMate first launches you'll find a selection of videos on the home screen, and can use the Search option to browse more YouTube videos. From the Settings menu (three dots icon) you can also access a playlist option.
Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet
Step 6. Find a video you want to download and select it. At the top of the screen you'll see a green arrow - tap this. TubeMate will offer you a range of download-quality options, and which you will choose will depend on the speed of your device, your internet connection, and how much storage you have. There is also a Download as MP3 option if you want only the audio and not the video (for music videos, for example). Select the option you want and press the Download button at the bottom of the screen.
Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet
Step 7. Once your YouTube video has downloaded you'll see a notification in the drop-down bar at the top of the screen. If you tap on this the TubeMate app will open. You can swipe in from the right side of the screen to access your downloaded videos, or you can use the three dots icon at the top right and select Download List. Then you simply need to tap on the video to begin playing it.
Download YouTube to an Android phone or Android tablet
Step 8. Should you need the video file itself, perhaps for loading on to another device, you'll find videos are automatically saved to your device and visible within the Gallery or a file manager app (look in the Video folder). If you want to move the file elsewhere, tap the three dots icon next to the video in the Playlist and choose Move to. Select a save location and press Ok.

Android Secret Codes

Hidden Android Secret Codes For Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony, LG And Other Devices

Here are hidden Android secret codes for Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony, LG and other devices that are worth checking out.

One of the most popular practices amongst software developers is to leave ‘backdoors’ within the code, which essentially allow anyone with knowledge to get into the system at a much deeper level than you’d expect from an end-user. These backdoors aren’t always with a malicious intent; most of the time, they allow the OEM or programmer to get into the system for troubleshooting when other, usual modes of access have been blocked. They can be quite friendly and helpful if you know what you’re doing.

Smartphones have a good share of these as well, where they’re generally known as secret codes. Most of the time, these numeric/symbolic sequences allow you to access hidden menus, diagnostic tests, areas that could change some of the most basic parameters of your device and whatnot. These secret codes, in fact, have not been exclusive to smartphones, but have long been a part of the dumb-phones and then the feature-phones before most major OEMs joined the smartphone bandwagon. For those devices that run Android, certain codes are shared across the board, and hence, can be used on a variety of devices.

What follows is a collection of some of the secret codes common to the Android platform. All of these would be entered through the phone dialer (just punch in the sequence as shown). Since most hidden menus are manufacturer specific, there’s no guarantee that they’ll work across all Android smartphones, but you can try them out nevertheless on your Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony and other devices. Be advised, though, that some of these can cause serious changes to your device’s configuration, so don’t play with something that you don’t fully understand.

HISTORY OF APPLE COMPANY

HISTORY OF  APPLE COMPANY

Steven Wozniak and Steven Jobs had been friends in high school. They had both been interested in electronics, and both had been perceived as outsiders. They kept in touch after graduation, and both ended up dropping out of school and getting jobs working for companies in Silicon Valley. (Woz for Hewlett-Packard, Jobs for Atari)

Wozniak had been dabbling in computer-design for some time when, in 1976, he designed what would become the Apple I. Jobs, who had an eye for the future, insisted that he and Wozniak try to sell the machine, and on April 1, 1976, Apple Computer was born.

Hobbyists did not take the Apple I very seriously, and Apple did not begin to take off until 1977, when the Apple II debuted at a local computer trade show. The first personal computer to come in a plastic case and include color graphics, the Apple II was an impressive machine. Orders for Apple machines were multiplied by several times after its introduction. And with the introduction in early '78 of the Apple Disk II, the most inexpensive, easy to use floppy drive ever (at the time), Apple sales further increased.

With the increase in sales, however, came an increase in company size, and by 1980, when the Apple III was released, Apple had several thousand employees, and was beginning to sell computers abroad. Apple had taken on a number of more experienced mid-level managers and, more importantly, several new investors, who opted to take seats on the board of directors. Older, more conservative men, the new directors made sure that Apple became a "real company," much to the dismay of many of its original employees.

In 1981, things got a bit more difficult. A saturated market made it more difficult to sell computers, and in February. Apple was forced to lay off 40 employees. Wozniak was injured in a plane crash. He took a leave of absence and returned only briefly. Jobs became chairman of Apple computer in March.

HISTORY OF FACEBOOK

HISTORY OF FACEBOOK

Mark Zuckerberg, 23, founded Facebook while studying psychology at Harvard University. A keen computer programmer, Mr Zuckerberg had already developed a number of social-networking websites for fellow students, including Coursematch, which allowed users to view people taking their degree, and Facemash, where you could rate people's attractiveness.

In February 2004 Mr Zuckerberg launched "The facebook", as it was originally known; the name taken from the sheets of paper distributed to freshmen, profiling students and staff. Within 24 hours, 1,200 Harvard students had signed up, and after one month, over half of the undergraduate population had a profile.

The network was promptly extended to other Boston universities, the Ivy League and eventually all US universities. It became Facebook.com in August 2005 after the address was purchased for $200,000. US high schools could sign up from September 2005, then it began to spread worldwide, reaching UK universities the following month.

As of September 2006, the network was extended beyond educational institutions to anyone with a registered email address. The site remains free to join, and makes a profit through advertising revenue. Yahoo and Google are among companies which have expressed interest in a buy-out, with rumoured figures of around $2bn (£975m) being discussed. Mr Zuckerberg has so far refused to sell.

The site's features have continued to develop during 2007. Users can now give gifts to friends, post free classified advertisements and even develop their own applications - graffiti and Scrabble are particularly popular.

This month the company announced that the number of registered users had reached 30 million, making it the largest social-networking site with an education focus.

Earlier in the year there were rumours that Prince William had registered, but it was later revealed to be a mere impostor. The MP David Miliband, the radio DJ Jo Whiley, the actor Orlando Bloom, the artist Tracey Emin and the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, are among confirmed high-profile members.

This month officials banned a flash-mob-style water fight in Hyde Park, organised through Facebook, due to public safety fears. And there was further controversy at Oxford as students became aware that university authorities were checking their Facebook profiles.

The legal case against Facebook dates back to September 2004, when Divya Narendra, and the brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, who founded the social-networking site ConnectU, accused Mr Zuckerberg of copying their ideas and coding. Mr Zuckerberg had worked as a computer programmer for them when they were all at Harvard before Facebook was created.

The case was dismissed due to a technicality in March 2007 but without a ruling.

Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln

Lincoln, one of the most respected Presidents of the USA, was the son of a Kentucky frontiersman and had to struggle to living and learn.

He was born February 12, 1809, in Hardin County, Kentucky. His mother died when he was nine. He was eight when his father came to Indiana from Kentucky. Lincoln, while working on the farm, was extremely desirous of attaining education and made extraordinary efforts to do it.

Having begun where he did it appears to be a dream that Lincoln was a captain in the Black Hawk War, spent eight years in the Illinois legislature, and practiced in courts for many years.

He married Mary Todd and had four boys. Sadly, only one of whom lived to maturity. In 1858 Lincoln ran against Stephen A. Douglas for Senator but lost. However, though he lost the election, debating with Douglas he did gain a national reputation that later won him the Republican nomination for President in 1860.

Lincoln was re-elected in 1864. The civil war ended and President Lincoln was flexible and generous. He encouraged the Southerners to lay down their arms and join the reunion.

It was Good Friday and the date was April 14, 1865, when Lincoln was assassinated at Ford’s Theatre in Washington by John Wilkes Booth, an actor. Booth somehow harbored the misconception that by killing Lincoln he was helping the South. The events that followed proved the opposite.

Global Warming Essay

Global Warming Essay

Global warming is simply the biggest issue nowadays. It has an immense side effect on the planet, humankind, and our future. In this global warming essay, we will explain why it happens and what the effects are. We will add some prevention measures that should be applied as soon as possible.

Basics about global warming

You probably encountered this term many times, but you may still don’t know what it means. Global warming happens due to the greenhouse effect. In essence, carbon-dioxide and similar gases are trapped in the atmosphere. They make the atmosphere thicker and trap the temperature. The temperature rises, which is defined as global warming. Keep in mind that the entire planet is affected by this effect, even areas where the temperature is extremely low.

Causes of global warming

There are 2 main reasons why this happens. Sadly, both of them are huge and they have a severe effect on the planet. Furthermore, they have been causing global warming since the beginning of XX century. They are:

Deforestation – Destroying forests across the planet, in order to obtain wood and usable space is the primary reason for global warming. Each day, millions of trees are cut and destroyed. Each one requires several decades to grow, but we destroy it in a matter of minutes.Industrial emissions – Factories around the globe have a negative effect on the environment. Most of them produce carbon-dioxide, especially those that use some form of heat and produce smoke. In addition, energy production also causes carbon-dioxide emissions.

Effects

Global warming affects the entire planet and it causes many severe issues that are extremely difficult to solve. Even if we stop all CO2 emissions today, it wouldn’t instantly stop global warming and its dangerous effects.

Climate change – As the result of global warming, the average temperature increases. It results in increased number of extreme weather conditions.

The water level will be increased – Due to a higher temperature, polar caps (Antarctic and Arctic) will melt. They are melting already. This is the main reason why the sea level will be increased.

The health of the humans – Humans will start to suffer from tropical diseases and hunger. This is also happening right now, but in the future, it will be increased.

Prevention of the global warming

In order to prevent or at least slow down global warming, there are some measures that should be taken.
Planting trees is the first and the most important way. This also means that we have to stop destroying forests.

Reducing CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. We have to close old factories, start use alternative energy sources and reduce the number of cars.

The final thought

The most important thing to remember is that global warming is happening right now and it must be stopped. It won’t be too late if the entire human race starts protecting the planet. If not, we have no future!

Electric Engines

Electric Engines

An electric engine is a motor that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, making things move. It works according to the laws of electromagnetics. The principle is that an electromagnet is powered by an electric current. It passes through a wire that creates a magnetic field with two poles, north and south. The laws of physics state that opposite poles attract and like poles repel. The field created between these poles will power up the magnet causing current to flow through the wire and this electromagnet becomes a power source. The more wires are looped around the electromagnet, the more amplified the magnetic field becomes and the more power is produced.
An electric engine is dependent on electromagnetism. The motor rotates because of the continuous changes in the course of the electromagnetic field, which is achieved by the design of the electric motor. The power is supplied through the flexible metal brushes that connect the commutators. This power makes things move and function.

An electric engines essay will not be complete without discussing where such engines are being used. While people may often take the whole electromagnetic principle for granted, it cannot be denied that it is part of everyone’s life. Modern civilization uses appliances and equipment that are run by electric engines. From washing machines to televisions, from water pumps to elevators, devices that run on electric engines are meant to make people’s lives easier. Even cars and other vehicles are powered by electric motors.

If you look around, you will see that electric engines are everywhere, even in your own home. Check out anything that moves and you will see it is powered by batteries or is plugged into the sockets in your wall. These are all powered by electricity and electric motors. Electric engines make people’s lives easier because it reduces manual labor that is needed to do or produce something. Think about doing the laundry, cutting trees to get lumber, churning butter, and many more. Whether it is as a simple household chore or a large-scale production or service, the use of electric engines has greatly benefitted mankind.

Additionally, using electric engines, especially for motor vehicles, is a good way to help preserve nature. As the electrical energy is transformed into mechanical energy, there is less pollution that is being produced. The advancement of electric motor technology will pave the way for the reduction of man’s dependence on fossil fuels.

A Feature on Android Technology

A Feature on Android Technology

Android is a name that was introduced by Google Inc. It is a very popular technology in mobile phones these days, as it is an operating system which is capable of running multiple application programs. It is a complete revolution in the mobile technology industry after iPhones. This essay is a feature on Android technology.

Android is a revolutionary name which is an open-source software assemble of an operating system, middleware and key applications for mobile devices. In 2005, Google Inc. purchased the initial developer of the software; Android Inc and developed it. Android’s mobile operating system is based on a modified version of the Linux kernel. (Lee P.)

The introduction of the Android distribution on 5 November 2007 was announced with the beginning of the Open Handset Alliance which was a consortium of 80 hardware, software, and telecom companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. Google released most of the Android code under the Apache License, a free software and open source license. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. (Mark S.)

Google proclaimed the Android Market on 28 August 2008, and it was made available to users on 22 October 2008. Support for paid applications was accessible from 13 February 2009 for US and UK developers, with additional support from 29 countries on 30 September 2010. In February 2011, the Android Market was made fully accessible on the web, allowing users to browse and pick up applications using their PCs, send them to their mobile phone and make comments on them. All this functionality was previously accessible only from mobile phone devices.

Android has a large community of developers writing application programs (“apps“) that enlarge the functionality of the devices. There are currently over 150,000 apps available for Android. Android Market is the online app store run by Google, though apps can also be downloaded from third-party sites. Canalys reported that in Q4 2010 the Android operating system was the world’s best-selling smart phone platform. Jumping from 23.5 percent, Android now represents 31.2 percent of the U.S smart phone market.

The Android open-source software mass consists of Java applications running on a Java-based, object-oriented application framework running on a Dalvik virtual machine featuring JIT compilation on top of Java core libraries. Libraries written in C incorporate the surface manager, OpenCore media framework, SQLite relational database management system, OpenGL ES 2.0 3D graphics API, WebKit layout engine, SGL graphics engine, SSL, and Bionic libc. The Android operating system consists of 12 million lines of code including 3 million lines of XML, 2.8 million lines of C, 2.1 million lines of Java, and 1.75 million lines of C++. (Christopher T.)

HARDWARE RUNNING ANDROID

The Android Operating System can be used as an operating system for cell phones, notebooks and tablets, including the Dell Streak, Samsung Galaxy Tab, TV and other devices. The first commercially available phone to run the Android operating system was the HTC Dream, released on 22 October 2008. In early 2010 Google collaborated with HTC to launch its flagship Android device, the Nexus One. This was followed later in 2010 with the Samsung-made Nexus S. The Android technology is on evolution and its evolving day by day to provide its consumers with the best technology.

Mixed Racial Heritage

Mixed Racial Heritage

However there is the aspect of the hypodescent where they assign a person a monoracialism by assigning a mixed racial heritage to the least race. Here if the society meets a person who they cannot assign a race to them will assign them to the least racial group. For this reason that a person whose ethnicity cannot be defined are assigned to a race that is least. Therefore a person who is orientated to racial thinking will assign the counselor to a least race.

This will affects their perception of the counselor and consequently their counseling sessions and outcomes. However, the society has marginal syndromes, where the society refuses to view the race as equals. Since there is racial ambiguity, there is difficulty in identifying the race. Therefore a person will often experience prejudice and discrimination from the dominant groups and secondary ethnic groups. For this reason a person attending counseling will often expect discrimination and prejudice from the counselor or any one they are receiving help form (Frame and Williams, 2005).
